INTRODUCTION

 

 UNCTAD's work, consisting of a balanced mix of analysis, policy advice and direct assistance, responds to the needs of both the public and the private sectors. It is based on a forward looking approach aimed at assisting commodity dependent countries in their efforts to adapt their policies and strategies, seeking innovative solutions to the problems they encounter. UNCTAD's flexible approach to its work on commodities allows it to respond constructively to the requests of interested countries.
